The-DAISY-Award-Logo-resizedThe DAISY Award is an international program that recognizes and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skills and compassionate care given by nurses every day. In memory of J. Patrick Barnes, the DAISY Foundation has partnered with Chino Valley Medical Center to say thank you by honoring nurses throughout the hospital. The DAISY Award Honoree will receive a certificate, a DAISY pin, and a hand-carved sculpture entitled A Healer’s Touch. Additionally, everyone on the unit with celebrate with Cinnabon cinnamon rolls – a favorite of Patrick’s during his illness.

Patients, visitors and staff members are able to recognize a “moment of excellence” by an employee on a Customer Care Chain card. The Customer Care Chain cards are reviewed monthly to select the Employee of the Month. The Employee of the Month will receive a bonus, and will have access for the month to the designated Employee of the Month parking spot. All employees who receive a Customer Care Chain card for a moment of excellence will be provided a star pin.
