Patients & Visitors
Chino Valley Medical Center understands that visitors play a vital role in the mental well-being and recovery of patients; therefore, the visitation guidance for our facility has been revised to encourage safely getting more visitors to the bedside. In accordance with the State Public Health Officer Order from CDPH, Chino Valley Medical Center is verifying visitors are fully vaccinated or, for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated visitors, verify documentation of a negative SARS-CoV-2 test from the past 72 hours.
Chino Valley Medical Center will be taking proactive steps to maintain a safe workplace for our patients and employees. With Corona virus still prevalent and the flu season in full swing, we are committed to taking steps to ensure that we respond effectively.
The following recommendation is aimed at preventing the spread of COVID 19 and Influenza in our facility, detecting cases quickly and timely and preventing it from becoming hospital acquired, and stopping transmission:
- We will now require ED testing with authorized nucleic acid or antigen detection assays for COVID 19 and immunoassay for INFLUENZA A and B, on ALL patients for admission, most especially, patients coming from post- acute care (SNF, LTAC, rehab, etc…)
- All visitors will be required to wear a mask while in the hospital premises, most especially when at patients’ bedside, as it is difficult to ascertain their vaccination status.
Swift identification of confirmed cases will allow us to take immediate action to remove exposure risks to our other patients and employees. It is encouraged and required that we adopt practices which protects the health of our employees, patients, visitors, and others.
Chino Valley Medical Center will allow one visitor per patient between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. daily. All visitors will be screened and will be required to wear a mask at all times, stay in the patient room, and wash theirs hand frequently. The facility will allow two visitors for ICU patients, however only one visitor is permitted to visit at a time while the the other is asked to wait in the ICU waiting room. ER patients are permitted one visitor but they must sign in through admitting. For the safety of our patients, staff, visitors, and the community, there will be no visitors permitted for COVID-19 or isolation patients at this time.

Pioneers in their fields, CVMC is committed to its communities, providing primary care to children and families, chronic care to seniors, and a range of rehabilitation services, occupational and environmental health programs, as well as health promotion, disease prevention and home care services.
