The American Heart Association presents the Get With The Guidelines® – Heart Failure Gold Plus award for proven dedication to ensuring all heart failure patients have access to best practices and life-saving care
CHINO, CA, Aug. 20, 2025 — Chino Valley Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, has received the American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® Gold Plus quality achievement award for its commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer readmissions to the hospital. Chino Valley Medical Center is also recognized on the American Heart Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll™, which aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes, who might be at higher risk for complications, receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to heart disease or stroke.

Heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 5 causes of death in the United States, respectively, according to the American Heart Association 2025 Statistical Update. Studies show patients can recover better when providers consistently follow treatment guidelines.
Get With The Guidelines puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest evidence- and research-based guidelines. As a participant in the Get With The Guidelines programs, Chino Valley Medical Center qualified for the awards by demonstrating how their organization has committed to improving quality care.

In addition to these national recognitions, Chino Valley Medical Center has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, which assigns grades based on over 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
The hospital also announced it has achieved numerous accolades for clinical excellence from Healthgrades, including Five-star ratings for Critical Care, Gastrointestinal, and Orthopedic services and recognition for excellence in the treatment of Diabetic Emergencies, Gallbladder Surgery, and Hip Fractures.
